We collect the following types of information when you interact with our Early Access Page and any future services under development:

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account & Contact Information: When you sign up for early access or otherwise submit your details, we collect your name, email address, and any additional information you may provide.
• Doggyduo Profile Information: If you create a profile or share details about your dog(s), we may collect those details for potential matching or marketing features.
• Location Data: If you enter an address (home, work, or other location) for prospective matching or marketing purposes, we store it in our database.
• Messages & Communications: If you contact us or use any messaging features, we collect and store those communications.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: We track how you interact with our Early Access Page (e.g., page views, time spent) for analytics and to improve user experience.
• Device & Browser Information: We may collect device type, operating system, and browser version to optimize compatibility.
• Cookies & Tracking Technologies: We use cookies to store preferences and analyze engagement. We do not employ any tracking consent pop-up at this time.

C. Information from Third Parties

• Verification Services: If we later integrate user verification or background checks, we may receive verification data. Currently, no such integrations exist.
• Third-Party Tools: Should we add sign-up through Google, Apple, or similar services in the future, we would collect limited data from those services. At present, there are no planned integrations of this kind.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide & Improve the Service: We store and display any publicly shared profile information, and use location data (if provided) to plan future matching or marketing efforts.
• Secure the Platform: We detect, prevent, and address fraud, security threats, or misuse.
• Communicate with You: We send early access updates, service notifications, and, with your consent, marketing communications.
• Analyze & Optimize: We use data-driven insights to refine Doggyduo features while maintaining your privacy.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

3. How We Protect Your Information

• Encryption for stored address/location data.
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel.
• AWS S3 security measures for any image or content storage.
• Periodic security reviews to ensure data protection.

However, no system is 100% secure. Data transmission over the internet carries inherent risks.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We share data only when necessary, and in these limited cases:

A. With Service Providers

We use third-party services (e.g., hosting providers, analytics, email delivery) that process your data under strict agreements.

B. If Required by Law

We may disclose information if required to comply with legal obligations (e.g., subpoenas, law enforcement requests).

C. If You Opt-In to Sharing

If you choose to make your profile public or otherwise opt in to public visibility on the Early Access Page, your information will be viewable by others. For the Early Access phase, profiles are fully public to demonstrate upcoming features.

5. Your Privacy Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access & Update: You can request access to or updates of your personal information by contacting us directly.
• Delete Your Data: You can request account deletion by emailing us. There is no self-service deletion option at this time; we will remove your data unless we have a legal obligation to retain it.
• Opt-Out of Emails: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the link in any email we send or contacting us.
• Limit Location Data: If location-based matching is relevant, you can choose not to provide location data or provide approximate data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our Early Access Page functionality and any related services, or to comply with legal obligations. If you request deletion, we will remove your information unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. We currently do not implement a specific automatic deletion period for inactive accounts, but we may do so in the future as our policies evolve.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

Our Early Access Page may link to third-party sites (e.g., payment processors, verification tools) if needed in the future. Each service operates under its own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

8. International Users

Currently, Doggyduo does not accept users from the European Union (“EU”) and is intended for U.S. residents only. If you choose to access Doggyduo from outside the U.S., you acknowledge that your data will be stored and processed in the U.S., which may have different privacy protections than your home country.
